question about pvp only chars
So I just recently started playing GW and i am a little confused about how the pvp only characters work. Is there any disadvantage to making a pvp only character as opposed to a RP character if I only plan to do pvp? Also, is there a way to get new gear or skills on pvp only characters? Any info is greatly appreciated!

do PvP, gain faction points, unlock skills, etc with the faction points
only disadvantage to a pvp toon is you can't do PvE and i think this thread will be closed since i know there are at least 2 other threads with same questions |

2 advantages to creating a roleplaying character even if all you plan to do is PvP:
1. Skill/weapon/upgrade unlocks. These can sometimes be quicker and easier to get with just a little PvE. 2. Familiarize yourself with game mechanics before you jump in to formats where people are really counting on you to know what you're doing. After that, if your goal is PvP, a PvP-only character is preferable, since you can save/load equipment templates on the fly and freely change secondaries. |
